Google announce in late Spring that it would add an even larger focus on mobile speed to its ranking algorithm starting in early July. The search giant also recently confirmed a large “search quality update” to its algorithm on August 1. As part of this announcement, a Google spokesperson reiterated what they said via Twitter in March:
With daily algorithm updates, as your dental marketing experts at Pro Impressions, we are constantly looking for new insights into what works and what doesn’t. What worked yesterday isn’t what makes the difference today. The only exception to this is having a quality website complete with quality content. Things like mobile speed, online reviews, and social media activity weren’t relevant three years ago. We will always let you know when the next thing comes over the horizon and we will continue to lead the charge on implementing those changes.
