Social Media Tools

agorapulse logoAgoraPulse

As a digital marketing agency specializing in dental practices, we’re always on the lookout for tools that can streamline our processes and deliver exceptional results for our clients. That’s why we’ve chosen AgoraPulse as our go-to social media posting platform. AgoraPulse offers a plethora of features that make social media management a breeze!

One of the standout features is the “Unified Social Inbox,” which allows us to manage all incoming social media messages, comments, and reviews in one place. This is a game-changer for staying organized and responsive. The platform also offers “Intuitive Publishing” options, complete with location tagging and cover photo selection for videos, making the scheduling process smoother than ever. We also love AgoraPulse’s advanced reporting options, Shared Calendars, and Post Approval process.

In terms of user interface, AgoraPulse is incredibly user-friendly.

What sets it apart: The combination of advanced reporting options, intuitive publishing features, and a unified social inbox, all designed to streamline social media management.

Our review: We’re fans! AgoraPulse has enhanced our ability to manage social media for our clients effectively. From its robust publishing features to its advanced analytics and reporting, it’s a comprehensive solution that we highly recommend.

hootsuite logoHootsuite

It wouldn’t be a review of social media tools if we didn’t mention Hootsuite! Hootsuite is one of the largest social media management tools, and it caters to all different types of businesses. With Hootsuite, you can create content, post content, measure social media metrics, and run social media ads. It’s complete with tools to help your posts perform better, like a feature that tells you the best time to post. There are truly a plethora of features in this social media tool.

Hootsuite plans start at $99/ month and go up from there. Many businesses love that it’s a comprehensive social media marketing tool, but there are some downsides. The dashboard can be a little confusing, and the $99 plan may not be enough for your practice, forcing you to upgrade to something more expensive. The reporting on Hootsuite is great if you upgrade your plan.

What sets it apart: Comprehensive social media tool with tips to help your posts perform better.

Our review: As we’ve said, we use AgoraPulse. Hootsuite is a good tool for dentists if you only need the basic package or are okay with the higher costs.

canva logoCanva

If you’re into creating professional and branded social media posts, chances are you’ve heard of Canva. Canva is a great, easy-to-use tool that’ll help you create professional-looking and branded social media posts. Its intuitive features allow you to batch-create posts, save templates, and easily edit them for future use. The possibilities of what you can create with Canva are truly endless, and there are so many helpful tutorial videos online to help you get started.

Canva has a free version, but the downside is there are many unavailable features. Most of the royalty-free images they offer aren’t available with the free version, which may pose an issue after some time. However, you can upgrade to their paid versions.

What sets it apart: This tool is great for dental teams because it has an intuitive design and is easy to learn.

Our review: We love Canva! We use it to create social media posts and (in some cases) other graphics.

Review Tools

trust index logoTrustIndex

TrustIndex is a handy review management tool that allows you to collect and embed reviews on your website. Using TrustIndex, the reviews you display on your homepage (or any other page) will always be fresh without you having to switch them in and out. The widget’s design is attractive and free of bugs! We love that.

It pulls in reviews from 131 different sources, can generate review images for social media posts, and allows you to respond to reviews from one place and more.

What sets it apart: For us, it’s the fresh reviews and attractive review widget.

Our review: We’re fans of TrustIndex. We use its widget on our client sites to showcase their reviews.

google business logoGoogle Business Profile

Google has its own review platform called Google Business Profile. It’s not strictly a review platform because it has many other functions and features that will help your practice grow. But we’ll talk about those functions in Part II when we discuss search engine optimization tools.

Google is one of the largest review platforms! And regardless of if you use the Google Business Profile to manage those reviews or another tool, you need to respond to your Google reviews. The downfall of Google Business Profile as a review management tool is that you can’t pull in reviews from other sources. You can only respond to Google reviews.

What sets it apart: It’s an all-in-one tool that lets you manage your reputation on Google and improve your SEO.

Our review: Sure, we like Google. We have to since Google is “the big fish.” But as a review tool, it’s not great. Only being able to respond to your Google reviews is a big disadvantage for this tool. That said, we love Google Business Profile for other reasons that we’ll discuss in Part II.

Email Marketing Tools

mail chimp logo

MailChimp

MailChimp is an email marketing tool that your practice may want to use. It allows you to stay in contact with your patients through

email with segmented email lists, easy content creation, and smart recommendations. It also has reporting tools so you can make your email campaigns better and better. Be advised: this is a tool meant to send mass emails to a whole list of people.

This tool can integrate with other platforms, it can use downloaded email templates, and you won’t have a MailChimp logo hanging out in the background like some other email marketing tools. However, it can be challenging to use and clunky with some applications, and you may have to upgrade to a paid version if you want to use all the features or if you have over 500 contacts. The free version is limited to 500 contacts, with 1,000 sends per month and a daily limit of 500.

What sets it apart: Even though some people have trouble designing emails, the end result is an attractive email, and it lets you customize automation features.

Our review: MailChimp could be a great tool for dentists to stay in contact with their patients, but you’ll likely have to upgrade to a paid version.

mail meteor logo

MailMeteor Subject Line Testing

On the ‘subject’ of email marketing, MailMeteor’s subject line tester is a free tool that allows you to test subject lines (pun intended!). Your subject line is one of the most important parts of your email, and finding the right words to make it engaging enough to open isn’t always easy.

MailMeteor’s subject line tester is something our content marketing team uses in our own email marketing. You start with a subject line from your head, and it’ll rate it based on a number of factors. It also makes suggestions to make it better.

What sets it apart: The suggested subject lines are really a game-changer.

Our review: We like this subject line tester over many others ones because it’s quick and doesn’t require you to upgrade to get good results.
