Hello, welcome to Marketing Chairside by Pro Impressions Marketing, and today we’re going to help you solve problems with social media, I mean, a lot of offices are diving in with social media and have been for years, but to varying degrees of success let’s say, a lot of problems out there, and today I’m going to welcome two experts, not one but two guests to the show. They’re members of my team, Becca and Rhiannon, hi there.

And so Becca and Rhiannon are the Content Manager, which is Becca and the Social Media Specialist, which is Rhiannon. And so let’s see here, Rhiannon I wanted to start with you, can you tell us a little bit about the problems that dental offices encounter when they come to us? We see a lot of different things.

Rhiannon Myers:

Yeah, we do. So one of the big things is posting frequency, we have some offices who haven’t posted in several weeks, several months, several years. And then after that, just if they are posting, maybe they only post once a week or once every couple weeks. And then so posting frequently in general is really difficult just to find the time to do that, but also coming up with social media ideas, what should they post? To who they should be posting about? What that content should be about in general? And then also finding the time to engage with others on social media and build relationships on social with potential patients. So liking other people’s posts, commenting, sending DMs back and forth, and then story views on Instagram, that sort of thing. So a lot of it’s time-based, you’re running a dental office, it’s really hard to find the time to also run social media at the same time.

Jonathan Fashbaugh:

Right. And so what do we do as a team to help our dentists shine and solve those problems?

Rhiannon Myers:

So one of the first things that we offer is a weekly newsletter, it’s an email, it goes to your inbox every Monday, it’s called #StaySocial, as an example, and anybody can subscribe to this on our website and it includes post ideas for what your dental office can post for the week, maybe it’s holiday related, maybe it’s a random, fun dental holiday. Sometimes it’s things like this where it’s like, “Let’s talk about what happens when people come to your office.” What could you post for that? And then we also include some post examples from our dental clients who are posting for themselves and why it is that those posts are a good idea why it’s working for them, and then we tend to end it with some social tips so that you can stay up to date with what’s going on on social media.

Becca Wallace:

And then if you like Do It Yourself route, we have an alternative solution that has even more ideas, so instead of getting a weekly email, you can get an entire year’s worth of content ideas. So we offer a digital calendar that comes with a new post idea for every single day of the year, and this calendar also includes 17 Canva templates. And if you’re unfamiliar with Canva, it’s a really easy to use graphic design software. Basically, you just go in, use our templates, edit it however you want, and you’re good to go. You just download it and post it. But if you don’t like to Do It Yourself route, we actually offer some alternative solutions for you, and I’m going to let Rhiannon tell you about that.

Rhiannon Myers:

So if you’re not real big on the whole DIY thing, we have several social media packages, the first one being our Social Media Plus Package, it’s included for all of our current clients, and it’s perfect for dentists who want some of that social consistency, posting frequency, and also want to make sure that they’re staying engaged on socials, so we’re making sure that we’re checking your messages and comments on Facebook, Instagram, and responding to your positive reviews so that your patients and potential patients know that you’re there for them on socials so they can reach out to you there and maybe ask some questions about cosmetic dentistry or TMJ, or how to go about sleep apnea treatment. And then we also make sure that we’re boosting one post per month, at least for our plus members, so that if organic reach isn’t getting you enough, then we can get to, we can reach some other potential patients so that you’re reaching as many people as possible.

Rhiannon Myers:

But if you’d like take it even a step further than our Plus Package, we offer a Premier Package which offers everything seen here, so we added several things. We’ve got some more posts, offer some personalized posts, so your office can send us content, that can be photos of your team, photos of your office, photos of patients, that sort of thing. And we make it into a professional social media post, posted for you and all of your channels. And then we also offer another one of those as a bonus posts per month, so for a total of five, usually per month of content that’s specific to your dental office, so that you’re still being personal and showing your company culture online. And then we also offer some more money dedicated towards Facebook ads, so that you’re again, reaching more people, and then we also take the time to engage on behalf of your social accounts so that you’re engaging with clients, you’re commenting on their posts, liking them, story views, DMing them making sure that you’re building those relationships online. And if that still isn’t quite enough for you, then we offer another package.

Becca Wallace:

So our most robust package is for that dentist who really just wants to claim the title of, “I am the dentist for my area.” So with the Pro Package, you’re going to get even more posts per week, so you’re going to get four regular posts per week, two Instagram and Facebook stories per week, two personalized posts per week, and then two bonus posts per month, in case you ever have an announcement you need to make, or you just completed a course and you want to rave about it online, we can do that for you. And then on top of all of these amazing posts, you will also get custom branding on every single post, so that means every post will have your fonts, your colors and your logo, so no one can steal your posts because it’s custom branded for you.

Becca Wallace:

And then the Pro Package has even more money allocated towards Facebook ads. For this one, we allocate $100, and then if you want to add more money on top of that, we can do that for you. And included with the ads, we’re also doing a re-targeting strategy, so we’re not just letting people see your content, we’re re-targeting the people who like your content. That way, eventually they’re going to pick up the phone and call you. And then this package also includes a quarterly content calendar so you know exactly what you’re going to have posts about ahead of time, and every quarter, we’re going to send you a marketing report that goes over how your posts perform and what’s performing best, what’s not performing best, so we can just evaluate what we need to do to keep your posts performing well.

Becca Wallace:

And then the Pro Package also includes a custom link in bio, so when a patient goes to click on your Instagram link in your bio, they’re going to see what looks like an Instagram feed, but when they click on the image, it will actually take them to whatever website URL that we put in there. So this is just a really easy way to have, to drive traffic to your website on Instagram, to specific pages of your website.

Becca Wallace:

And then lastly, this package includes posting at the best time to post on Instagram, so your Facebook followers and your Instagram followers generally go online at different times of the day, so with this package, we’re making sure that all of your posts are going out during peak hours, and that’s our Pro Package.

Becca Wallace:

And then another thing is all of our packages include a monthly content calendar, the pre-filled one that we created for their home site, we’re sending that to our clients once a month, so in case they do want to do some Do It Yourself posts every month, they have those ideas ready for them.

Jonathan Fashbaugh:

And I think that that’s huge, our clients always have ideas for things that they want to do, but sometimes they just don’t come to mind when the dentist is ready to actually do something and so having that calendar handy, I think is just a tremendous asset to just prevent the blank canvas syndrome where they’re like, “What the heck am I going to post?”

Jonathan Fashbaugh:

Well, thank you both of you for telling us all about that, the spirit behind this is obviously to do more of what we do for our clients every day, and that’s delivering on quality and consistency. We hear it all the time where dentists on their third marketing company in as many years, because they just can’t seem to get the results, and they just feel like they’re wasting time and money. It’s easier to do that on social media, and that’s why we have these packages is so that we can bring that consistency and quality to your social media platforms.
